The Creator of the Clow Cards: Clow ReedThe Clow Cards are magical cards that the magician Clow Reed created. Clow designed a magic system for these cards that combined both Oriental magic and Western magic. However, what kind of person Clow was at the time is a mystery. Spirits are the materializations of these mischievous new cards! ?The names of the spirits that jump out of the cards and materialize show the magical power associated with them. A slightly harmful card might attack, or steal a voice or appearance–a harmless card may only play a trick. How to seal and use Clow CardsThe method of sealing is different depending on the card: there is the type that is hard to capture, and the type that is captured easily. After sealing the card, write your name on the bottom and ask the Clow Card to do as it is told. To use a card, the seal is released with a staff. The card will return to its spirit form and use its magic. I took some pictures comparing the American Bandai set and the Deluxe Kodansha set. I hope you enjoy them! ^^

The Clow Cards and This Fortune Book (An Introduction)Posted by: Ness in Clow Card InfoOne by one, the great magician Clow Reed created the Clow Cards, imbuing them with powerful magic. The Clow Cards can be used for fortune telling, and will show you various messages based on what questions you ask.
Presented in this book are the following:
You should probably start out by learning the basic meanings of all the Clow Cards first, followed by the One-Point Advice sections and learning the Shuffling Method. After that, you can move on to the fortune telling methods and their examples.
The most important skill you should learn for reading the Clow Cards is: In a Clow Card reading, your own intuition is all. Look at the cards that were drawn from the deck for the reading, and use any intuition that has flashed inside of you. Don’t hold it back, and derive only your message.
Regular playing cards can be substituted if Clow Cards are not available. The playing cards that correspond to each Clow Card are included in the Card Dictionary chapter. |
